Make-UP
Where, oh where to start with the wonderful invention called make-up. Make up is used by many of women and teenaged girls all over the world. Make-up is used for many different things. Some examples are covering up something you don't want any body to see, or if you want to match an outfit you just bought in the mall. Some girls who don't wear so much make up just like some powder to keep their face from being too oily. Let’s break it down because I could go on and on. The most common types of make up are foundation, eye-shadow, and lipstick. All these things can be broken down in to smaller categories; the most important thing a girl needs to know is how to use make-up because it can make you look pretty or just plain out ugly if you don’t know how to use it!
Let’s start off at the first steps you do for a great looking face. One you need to have a good moisturizer so your skin is soft and not dry (it helps your make up go on smoother). After you’re done with that, you need a good foundation that matches your skin color. You spread it on all over your face. However if you have something that you want to cover up that your foundation is not covering up you use the wonderful thing called congealer this also needs to match your skin color. You just use a very small amount over the spot you want to cover up. You want to use a small amount because it is thicker than your foundation.
After you have done all these steps you want to use some blush on your cheek bones. Again you don’t want this to look very natural so use a soft shade of pink that looks good on your skin. When this step is completed you want to use powder to set the foundation and also so you don’t look so oily. Remember to use a color that is as close to your skin color as possible. Say you were to use a shade of foundation that wasn’t your skin color, you would end up having a line of two types of skin tone when it came underneath your chin.
The next step is the eyes. The eyes are very important because they are what people look at when you are speaking to them. The color that you are going to pick out has to look good with the outfit you are wearing but it can’t be some crazy color (only if you can pull it off but if not doesn’t try it!). I am going to use myself as an example. I wear a lot of black blouses and natural colors like brown and sometimes pink and red, but mostly black! Lucky for me I don’t have to buy tons of different colors of eye-shadow, instead I buy shades of brown and black.
If I was wearing black blouse this is how I would do my eye-shadow. The first thing you need to remember is that I should always go light to dark. Before I start I need to have a set of eye-shadow brushes that are sold at any type of store like Wal-Mart. First I use a very, and I mean very shiny light pink all over my eye lid. Then I have a compact that I bought at Victoria’s Secret that has a light gray, dark gray a bronze brown and black and all these colors go on very smoothly and they all flow together(very important don’t for get it). After putting on the light pink the next color is the light gray. I Use the brush that is round and soft then rub it against the light gray over the small part of your eye-lid.
The next step is to get the brush that has bristles that go straight across. I Rub it against the darker shade of gray and follow the crease of my eye-lid. I should make sure that I only go upwards and it is kind of like outlining a drawing. Then here is the tricky part the color black. You want to pick up the brush that goes at an angle. With this brush I want to rub it against the black, but do it lightly. I can always go over it if I want to make it darker. I will start at my crease of the eye and go upwards, I don’t go al the way to the tear gland. It needs to have a blended affect. If by this time I don’t like how dark it is, I go over it until I am happy.
The next steps are small but still very important. After finishing my eye-shadow I want to get mascara that complements my eye color. I don’t know about blue, green, gray or light brown eyes because I have dark brown eyes, and I use very dark black. When I apply the mascara I make my lashes go the natural way they go, and just apply layer after layer until they are nice and thick. The next step is brow shading for those girls who have think eye-brows. I don’t have thin eye-brows but not thick either. So I picked out a color that is the color of my hair. I want it to look very natural, I apply a thin layer of brow shadow and fill in. Doing this makes my eyebrows darker and makes me have a defined look.
Last but not least are the wonderful lips! To decide what type of color to use depends on the type of look you are going for. For, example during the day you want a light natural color. I use a soft pink balm, but if I am going out in the night to a club I can put some lip-gloss on, but once again nothing crazy. You can never go wrong with a clear lip-gloss and you will have the natural color of your lips. That is what you want to aim for!
If you follow all these steps you will have beautiful make up that will last all day. Most of all you won’t look like a clown. Remember you want to keep it looking natural and soft. Most of all if you forget to do one of these steps your whole face is going to be out of balance, no matter how small it is it is the little things that give you that fabulous finish look. If you are ever doubting yourself you can always go on line and see what is in fashion. One web site I like to get my make-up is Mark; it is a line of Avon. Remember you are beautiful with or without make-up.

*Favi's Sonnet*
Love
How do I know this thing is called love is real?
How do I know this thing is called love is real?
Does it fill your heart with joy and make you happy?
Are you sure you are as fortunate as he makes you feel?
But most of all you know he will never make you unhappy.
Does he let you know that in his heart you are always safe?
Is your hearts lover the one shining heavenly angel in disguise?
Does your star let you know that he has you locked in his fate?
Is your lover the one who will fight for you and stay by your side?
When your knight in armor is the beginning of your worst nightmare.
Your lover will break your heart until the point you will stand no more.
Your lover will lie, disappoint, and betray you, not caring at all if it is fair.
In years to come you will not be that silly girl who gave her heart on a silver plate.
You are a shining star that will shine forever and forget about that cheapskate!!!

Literature 12 project one :The Renaissance-Sonnets
1. Examine the difference between the rhyme scheme Spencer uses and the one Shakespeare uses. Explain the difference. Which one do you prefer?
William Shakespeare's poem was way easier for me to understand. Shakespeare in his poem was as if he was in love and describe his lover in words. When I read Edmund Spencer poem it was me really confusing .But when i read it the 3rd time i under stood the poem. What i think he is trying to say is that he loves or likes this girl and the more he shows his love for her the more she backs off.
2. The rhyme scheme divides sonnets into four sections. The first section is a question asked from one point of view, the second is the same question asked from another point of view. The third section is called the turn. The turn is a shift in focus or the thoughts of the first two points of view. The last section is the conclusion. Use this method to explain the message in each of the four sections of the two poems above.
1.William Shakespeare section one: I think what he is trying to say that if he should compare someone to something beautiful.

1.William Shakespeare section one: I think what he is trying to say that if he should compare someone to something beautiful.
Section 2: what i think he is trying to say in this section is that, she is so pretty that it could be a bad thing every once in a while.
Section 3: this section is that no matter what happens he will always love her even if it gets bad every once in a while.
Section 4: that as long as he is with her and she still loves he and she loves him he will be happy.
2. Edmund Spencer section one: This came to me as if he likes some one but tries to hard and she does not like his attention.
2. Edmund Spencer section one: This came to me as if he likes some one but tries to hard and she does not like his attention.
Section 2 He wonders why does she not like him as much as he likes him.
Section 3: i think he is trying to say that how could some one love someone so much but can be so cold heart but still he loves her.
Section 4 Love is a very powerful thing and it will take over you.
Choose one more of Shakespeare's sonnets as well as another one of Spencer's sonnets. You can find these all over the Internet. Post each poem on your blog then: a. Label the rhyme scheme like my examples; b. explain the message in each of the four sections like you did in question #2.
(1) My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun
My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun; (A)
Coral is far more red than her lips' red; (B)
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun; (A)
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head. (B)
_____________________________________________________
I have seen roses damask'd, red and white, (C)
But no such roses see I in her cheeks; (D)
And in some perfumes is there more delight(C)
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.(D)
________________________________________________________
I love to hear her speak, yet well I know (E)
That music hath a far more pleasing sound;(F)
I grant I never saw a goddess go; (E)
My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground :( F)

And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare (G)
As any she belied with false compare. (G)
